Damla Cihangir holds a BA in Social and Political Sciences from Sabanci University, Istanbul (2007), a MA in European Studies from King's College London (2008) and a MA in Southeast European Studies from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2009). She is working as a junior researcher at the Economic Development Foundation (IKV) in Istanbul. She worked as a research assistant at ELIAMEP in spring 2009. During her studies, she has also worked as a research assistant at Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD) Brussels office, the EU Information Center in Istanbul and as a production assistant at CNN Turk television. Her research interests include Turkish politics, Turkish-EU relations, EU Enlargement and Southeast Europe, Turkish-Greek relations, political economy, Europeanization and democratization.
